It's
an ambitious plan, but it might just work! Renowned NASCAR stalwart Mat Lagoon
has committed himself to uncovering the next great (assuming Marcos Ambrose hits
the big time, otherwise it might be our first great hope) Australian hope on the
American stockcar scene.
Over the coming months, through the USA Stockcar Challenge, Lagoon and his team are looking to test a
number of drivers in an effort to find one (and perhaps two) talented peddler to
take to the US mid-year to contest select rounds of the Hooters Pro Cup Series
and Late Model stockcar (NASCAR) events.
About Your Test
Stock Cars are American Winston Cup type
racecars, are left hand drive and have manual transmissions.
Fitness and experience requirements
Experience is this type of car is not
requirement. You are not required to have a particular level of fitness but it
will help.
What to bring and/or wear
- Wear clothes suitable for weather on the day.
- Wear a comfortable pair of enclosed shoes and
socks.
- Bring sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses on hot
sunny days.
- Definitely pack your camera.
- Bring your safety gear (Helmet, Fire proof
suit, Fire proof gloves, Fire Proof Boots, Head & neck restraint system.

- Provide safety personnel whom are always
present at the test to help and guide you on driving.
